Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

I'm heading off on vacation, but have been watching this thread. I'm SO SO SO devastated for you and your whole family. Rusty was quite the pal and hero. We'll miss him terribly. So sorry.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!

Rusty doesnt regret one second of.his beautiful life with you! And as spoiled and loved as he was, no dog could have gotten more loving and spoiling and tummy rubs and treats and playtime with the boys.than you gave him these l ast few months. Amd in dog years, four monyhs is l ike a year!
Rusty got a chance to go on vacation again, to frolic and swim in the water, you gave him.the extra gift.of.time with his family.that.he loved.sooooooo much! Just as you felt privileged to.have.him in y our lives, he felt just as privileged to have you in his. And he got.to go home again and nurture his soul with.the love.and comfort.only.home.and his family.could give. And.then.he let you know he was ready. And his heart would be full of your love as he made.that transition...and he would leave your hearts full of his love.
The void, the heartbrack, the waves of sobs,.the.silenece...we all understand and we are here for you. When you can, please share more.pictures.and stories.of.Rusty. We all feel in love with him...how could you not?
May you hold onto those happy memories forever as theyslowly, but surely, seep.back into your heart. Rusty wa.ts to see you s m ile when you think of him.....he wags his tail when he thinks of you!

Yes, you ARE heartbroken and will feel Rusty's loss forever.....and you will remember these beautiful treasured moments captured so brilliantly in these photw!
I am soooooo glad you have these beautiful and happy times together that will be safely tucked in your heart forever.
Rusty is a spectacularly handsome and joyful boy. He really puts forth an energy of a wise Sage and a Protector of his family. The photo of your two beautiful children on the hill....Rusty s t anding strong and proud as though he is watching over them, looking after them...and I KNOW he still is. Your whole family has a very special Guardian Angel protecting you from harm.
Rusty's time with his humans was magical...and these pictures capture the magic. They are ABSOLUTELY stunning...each and every one. You have a beautiful family and the photographer is to be comlimented for capturing the joy and love.
I'm going back and looking at these again. The love among all of you and including your soul mate Rusty, shines through in each exquisite photo. I wish the photographer lived in Virginia.
