It is always a hard decision to decide what to do when faced with cancer in our babies. I did not know how much pain Emily was in until she was running better after her surgery than before it! Before surgery Emily limped off and on but not even all the time so it was a shock to realize how much pain she was in before hand. I will never regret the decision to amputate. Good luck to all of you that need to face the decision on amputation. It is hard to decide but once done I am so glad we did.
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
