Eggs is a good idea. I can’t take the narcotic patch off for three days so I hope that doesn’t hurt her appetite ?  I can at least get her pain meds and antibiotic down with peanut butter or cottage cheese but the anti inflammatory has to go with food    I am going to cook up grind beef and cheese at 5 and see if she’ll eat

The fentanyl will keep her groggy but I don't think it should hurt her appetite. Anesthesia can make them a little queasy, once she starts eating it will probably make her feel better.

Well today was a turning point. She finally got her appetite back and I don’t have to force the meds. Her tail is wagging and she seems to be getting the hang of the three leg hop. I have had no more than 3 hours sleep a night since Saturday as I am so worried about pain and her comfort but she has made wonderful progress and maybe we will sleep in my bed tonight as opposed to camping out in the den. I will keep everyone posted. Now to go check on Diggs

YAAAAAAAAAY FOR TAIL WAGS!!!!  🙂  YAAAAAAAAAY FOR WOOFING DOWN FOOD!!!!  🙂

YAAAAAAAAAY FOR SLEEPING IN THE BED TONIGHT (maybe)!!!!  🙂

Get some rest!!   You need it!  This recovery is so exhausting, but once you see the sparkle come back it makes it all worth it! 🙂

Hugs!

That is wonderful! She is such a rock star.

P.S. when she sleeps on the bed please make sure she can safely get off the bed without jumping and landing on the floor too hard OK? Many people put their mattress on the floor to avoid hard impacts on their dog's joints.
