Hello everyone. This is my first post. Thank you for the advice and tips that I've been able to find here!
I'm looking for a front wheel cart provider in Australia. I'm researching on the web, but I wondered if anyone here might know of any.
Arlo is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix whose front paw was crippled at an early age due to neglect by his original owners, so even though he's only 8 days past his amputation, he's already a seasoned and confident tripawd. Arlo's ACD ancestory has given him heaps of energy and under normal circumstances, I would be building him up to an hour+ walk each day. While he's great on 3 legs at home, I want to give him a front wheel cart so that he can benefit from longer walks without excess strain on his good leg.
Thanks for any advice.

We don't know of any specific cart manufacturers down under. But you might reconsider using a cart before one is necessary, as dogs can become dependent upon the assistance. Search these forums and the blogs and you will find much discussion about the use of carts. You may find this Tripawds News blog posts helpful...

I don't have any experience with respect to carts but you might find it useful to talk with an animal physiotherapist who could also help you with an exercise program to keep Arlo in good shape on his 3 legs and also discuss the use of a cart. Just be careful with a cart because it migh make him too dependant and he could suffer muscle atrophy.
