Looking to switch Kylie to another dry food maybe? She's been on the same brand since we got her around 7 mos old (well she went from puppy, to adult to senior of course) but all the same brand.. Nutro, the natural choice, large breed senior dog kibble. A 30lb bag would normally last us a month (when her appetite was great) and cost us around $60-70 (that's in Cdn eh? 😉 )

She's got the shiniest coat you've ever seen and seems like she's been healthy up until this cancer nightmare and the senior variety seems to have glucosamine and stuff for her joints etc.  But since she's turned her nose up at it so much lately with being sick and all, I wondered if its a good time to try something new that she might like better that would be even better for her. I figured I'd ask here to see if there is a brand that you tripawd parents have already researched and found is a good one, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel? winker

Or instead should I just supplement her current food with some cancer fighting stuff??

Thanks in advance!

~Chris & Kylie

You ask a great question, and a popular one around here. Hop over to the Tripawds Nutrition blog for tons of ideas and diets you can try. Take it slow, and little by little you'll find the combo that's right for her.

For our own Wyatt Ray , as it was for Jerry, it's all about food rotation. He's on TruDog right now, a raw freeze dried food, but we rotate in other foods to spice things up and keep him interested in different foods.

Whatever you change to, ease into it very slowly and let your vet know exactly what you're wanting to do. You want to make sure any supplements or foods you give her will not interfere with treatments.

Dogs like variety in their food. Just like humans, dogs get bored with the same food we feed them. I think along with the above mentioned brands you can even go for dog food suppliers. Even dog food suppliers offer great quality food for dogs. There are some suppliers like NYC dog food delivery, Brooklyn dog food delivery and NYC bespoke dog food that offer such food. You can look for similar suppliers at your locality too.
