May 27, 2009 Yoda was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.  Trying to look at it as a time to remember that this marks the beginning of four very special months together, rather than "the beginning of the end" or remembering the hard times and having to let him go.  By the time his amputation anniversary rolls around next week hopefully I'll have reached that level of pawsitivity.

For now though, feel like a good cry with me?

Actually if it doesn't make you cry – all the better!

Yoda&Mom united: 9/5/06 …….… Yoda&Leg separated: 6/5/09……… Yoda&Leg reunited: 10/14/09 ……… ……………….………….………….……. Yoda&Mom NEVER separated! …………………….….……....….…… Though Spirit Yoda currently free-lances as a rabbit hunting instructor for tripawds nationwide

How could it NOT bring tears to our eyes!  It's wonderful.  It's so touching.

I wished I had been around to know him. But his avatar aways brightens the forums!  I know your heart still hurts.  Sometimes even time can't hide the pain.

Thank you for sharing it with us.  I feel like I know him even better!

Hugs!

Crying BIG tears here.

What a beautiful, moving tribute Bri, you really captured Yoda's essence in the pics and the music. Marking these occasions is so impawtant.  You did good.

Yoda, you were a pup of so many expressions and attitudes. Your wisdom shows in every image captured of you. We miss you dearly but always remember that you will forever live in our hearts.

Simply beautiful. Thank you. {{{{Hugs}}}}}

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!!! Have to admit that it did make me mist up a little, but there is so very much love, beauty, and expression though out this tribute. I know that this was not the easiest of tasks, but one that was very rewarding. Your love of this incredible warrior is so very obvious.

As you know, words do not always come easy. So I hope you understand that Yoda's story has touched so very many as has this tribute. If I sound short, it is because the video leaves me speechless. After staring at it for what seams like forever, I can only write these simple words of praise. I also know that you totally understand.

Thank You for Sharing Yoda's story.

oh gosh, I just had to read the title of this thread and I started crying.  Today is Jack's 1 year since diagnosis.  I was a little on edge all day, but this is the first time that I cried.  It's just been such an emotional year...everything is OK now, but thinking that 1 year ago today...all that I was going through...it's tough.  I am so greatful that you and Yoda came here, that Jack and I had an amputation parter to go through recovery with (along with Emily and Ella).  I think of Yoda often and am touched that Gerry has come into your life to give his love to you.  Thanks for sharing Yoda and thanks for being a friend 🙂

I have to follow Jerry on this one - Yoda is so expressional.  The personality just shines through!  I was smiling as I watched remembering our hero and then the last photo - now the tears.

Very beautiful tribute, thanks for sharing.

He's so handsome, and what a presence!  The strength and beauty of him shine through and make it impossible not to cry.  I'm glad you were able to put that together--it can't have been easy--and thank you for sharing it with us.

Beautiful tribute to a beautiful boy. What a smile! It made me smile ... until that last frame, with Gerry looking at Yoda's rock.

Today we celebrate Yoda's life. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful boy! What a very touching and beautiful video.  (Yes, I have to get some kleenex too).  He seems so at peace in his photos and looks so happy.  His "yoda" ears and bright smile are just precious.  You must miss him very much. Thanks for sharing this and Yoda's story.

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

Thank you so much for a wonderful tribute to a very handsome boy!

We didn't cry...we smiled and grinned and enjoyed all of the love and happiness and smiles that was Yoda.

Great smile, great ears and wonderful expressions, a very happy fella.

Beautiful.  I'm sitting out in the lawn with Harley (since it is FINALLY cool), watching this and crying ... I'm sure my neighbors think I'm weird.  I don't care.  This was truly wonderful!

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see Yoda hopping down the sidewalk.  He was the first Tripawd I ever saw, and I was amazed by him.  Absolutely amazed by this three legged dog hopping down Craig Ave like he didn't have a care in the world.  I will never be able to express how much seeing Yoda helped me when we were told Harley's leg had to be amputated.

Thank you, Yoda.

(Now I'm crying harder ... good thing it's getting dark out! wink)

Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.
