Abiding by your wishes (but still shedding silent tears)...sending huge hugs....take a day or two and I know you will stay here with the rest of the family helping all the newcomers...

In honor of the Captain's transition to invisibility, I'm off to throw a few more dollars (virtually speaking) at Tripawds and also to finally buy some Jackers gear...

Yoda&Mom united: 9/5/06 …….… Yoda&Leg separated: 6/5/09……… Yoda&Leg reunited: 10/14/09 ……… ……………….………….………….……. Yoda&Mom NEVER separated! …………………….….……....….…… Though Spirit Yoda currently free-lances as a rabbit hunting instructor for tripawds nationwide

Thanks everybody!  I have to wait until wednesday to buy jackers gear, but that's a great way to honor his memory!   I'm OK today.  Gracie has been by my side pretty much all day (I think she knows something is weird) and I'm going through a cleaning spree.  I'm doing all my laundry and even went through and dusted all the fur away and threw away some shredded toys.  I did keep one of Jack's favorite pink balls and his first toy (a little mini frog) but i've just got this sense of everything is so cluttered and I can't get it clean or organized enough.  My head hurts...I think it's months of stress and worry working its way out of my body 😛

I will be participating in the K9 Cancer Walk for the Morris Animal Foundation in October and I would be honored to write his name on the back of my shirt in order to walk in his memory. My tripawd Chloe and I will be walking for those who are still with us and those who have passed by writing their names on the back of my shirt and on her bandana if they don't all fit on my shirt.  I too will be walking for another dog of mine, in memory of Bonnie who passed away from lymphoma...

-Chloe's mom

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

Oooo!  What a super idea!  Thanks so much!  We would be honored for his name to be on your shirt (or bandana, or whatever!)

Okie Dokie! I got Captain Jack Dillon on my list! I am working on the back of the shirt as I type (well not as I type since I keep getting distracted). If you check out my forum topic under "Anything Goes" with the long title like "Chloe signed up for Los Gatos K9 walk: We will walk for your dogs, just give us their names" you will see a pict of the front of the shirt! A photo of the back will be posted as soon as I finish....

Dear Laura and Invisible Captain Jack - HUGS coming your way!!!  I so admire your strength and after losing Zeke just over a week ago, I could not hold back my tears after reading this, as it put me right back at that moment.  You gave Jack the ultimate gift of love.  I understand when you say that your head hurts after all the stress of worrying about him.  I found an amazing calm came over me shortly after, just knowing I didn't have to worry about him anymore and he was finally comfortable.  It is time for you both to rest and think of the wonderful memories.  Here's to Captain Jack sitting on the dock... he will always be with you!

Dhiannon (Zeke's Mom) & Zeke, a 7 year old male Bullmastiff, front left leg amputated on 7-12-2010 due to a joint tumor.  Zeke earned his wings on 8-13-2010, we will miss our big boy forever!  We love you Zeke!!

Dear Laura,

I'm sorry to read this news, but am smiling at the thought of Captain Jack sitting on a dock...  He has been such an inspawration to us, and continues to be so even more so now.  He's our hero!!

Hugs,

Holly, Zuzu and Susan

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Dear Laura and Invisible Captain Jackers,

All earthly journeys must come to an end and I'm happy that yours ended in the best way possible. You were together sharing the love and the bond that you had for each other. Captain (now invisible), you get to lounge on the dock pain free, and Laura, you get to move forward in your journey knowing that you were the best mom to an awesome dog!  Thank you so much for sharing Captain Jack with us.

Lisa & Sadie

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Capt. Jack - enjoy your blankie on the dock. Sunsets and sunrises and sparkly sunshine diamonds on the water. What a beautiful spot you have.

My eyes are leaking, just a little bit, because of your inspiring strength and acceptance and for sharing Jack's story with us, Laura. Best wishes!
