When I lost my beloved German Shepherd tripawd, "Luna" to hemangiosarcoma, I was greatly comforted by the book, "For Every Dog an Angel".  I highly recommend it to anyone who has lost a dog, or anyone who is facing such a loss at some time in the future.  It is beautifully illustrated and sensitively written.  It is appropriate for children and adults alike.

When I learned that Jerry had gone to the Rainbow Bridge, I sent a copy to his pawrents, along with a Rainbow Bridge wristband (I'm wearing one now as I write this), which is also offered by the author of the book, Christine Davis.   I asked Jerry's pawrents I could tell everyone on the forum about this book and they said yes, so I am including their contact information as well as their web site URL address.

I hope you will visit Christine's web site and learn more about her books (she also has a book entitled, "For Every Cat An Angel").  I know that this little book brought me great comfort and I tell everyone I know about it.

Sincerely,

Sandra Thomas and "Angel" Luna

How ironic!  I just received my copy of this book about 5 days ago and have put it with all my belated pets' cremains, collars toys, etc.  It is a wonderful book and Christine Davis will sign any book you buy.  I, also, got my Rainbow Bridge wristband from them.  I kept thinking of my visit with Rene & Jim on October 30th and I wanted a Rainbow Bridge wristband just like Rene was wearing, so I finally looked and decided to buy one along with "For Every Dog an Angel".  I will be buying all of the books they have to offer.  They're just so beautiful.

On an interesting note:  we have been having some of the worst weather I have ever seen in my 19 years in Portland, OR.  For the last week we have had ice and snow and today we are being hammered with snow which will later turn to freezing rain.  On Christine's blog she stated how she was so worried about shipping her packages to people for Christmas that she had several neighbors who offered to help her get to the post office and buy groceries.  She's an extremely warm-hearted person and it makes me feel so good to support what she is doing.

Thanks Sandra & "Angel" Luna,

Love, Blazer & Mom (Vicki)
