I'm so sorry about Dakota. I know you must miss him terribly. I hope you find comfort in 14 wonderful years of memories, even though no amount of time is enough. You and Dakota will be in my thoughts.

we're so sorry to hear of dakota's passing, sounds like he loved you so much, it had to be terrible to let him go. you gave him a final gift, ending the suffering of a broken body. remember that love never ends.

We are so sorry for your loss of Dakota . . . What a huge hole his passing leaves after being part of your life for 14 years, but how many wonderful memories I'm sure he's left you with to begin to try to fill the hole. Our sympathies are with you as you make your way through this dark time.

Sweet Sylvie's earthly journey ended on Nov. 3, 2011, one day short of a year since her diagnosis and 6 days short of her one-year ampuversary. Her family celebrates her life as a sheepdog – ever the puppy, ever silly, ever sweet – and are grateful for our 7 years together.

Run free Dakota. You have truly been blessed to have enjoyed 14 years with such a loving family. Thanks for being such a great companion and for keeping watch over your humans through all of their ups and downs. Please give lots of licks and tail wags to Tai and all of our other Tripawd heroes who are undoubtedly there to greet you.

Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.

So sorry to hear about Dakota - 14 years feels like a lifetime (as in, I couldn't remember life before Zack) and it leaves a big emptiness once they're gone.
Take solace in the fact that you were there at the end and Dakota went out on his terms.
Zack and all of the other angel tripawds will make sure Dakota stays busy.

Zack lived a full 14 years, even to the end.
The joy and memories he provided us will last a lifetime.
Surviving him is his sister, Izzy, a 12-year-old boxer mix quadpawd.
And the latest addition, Zula, an 11-month-old pit bull mix tripawd.

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie.
