Jenna and family,
I'm so sorry that you had to say goodbye to Chilli so soon. It's harder to watch them suffer than to say goodbye, although it's not fair to have to do either after such a hard fight. I took some pictures of Sadie on her last day, and although she could not stand, she was smiling. Although she could not go to greet people, her love of people drew them to her and some of her favorite people came to say goodbye. It sounds like it was similar for Chillidawg. I grieve with you today, and send you and your family warm thoughts hoping that your happy memories will give you some comfort.

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

So very sorry to hear about Chili Dawg. Saying goodbye is never easy, and it's harder when we have to make the decision for them. Give Finchy extra loves.

The appointment Chili Dawg kept was made out of love and set him free of all pain. The last gift of a loving pawrent. My tears mingle with all those who have also written to you. May the gift of his faithfulness and love forever sustain you at this time.
Oh, we are so very, very sorry Jenna. Chili Dawg was such a brave dog. The tripawd community shares your loss...he is running free with all his friends now.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Our dog Hendrix lost his right front leg about 2 months ago to bone cancer and it has now spread. We are very heavy hearted and trying to make sure we do what's best for him, but I can't imagine how you must be feeling after making such a tough decision. You are in my prayers.

My dear Jenna...with tears in my eyes I write to say how very sad I am to hear that your sweet Chili Dawg has gone on his peaceful journey to become a tripawd angel. He will have many angels watching over him and showing him the way... and they will also watch over you & your family. Chili Dawg loves & trusts you and it is because you love him so much … you let him go to run free with the Tripawds before us.... What a gift he was to all of you! What a gift you gave him - all of your love... He will leave his 3 paw prints deep in your hearts forever... In time... may the happy memories brighten your days and lighten your hearts.
I feel your heartbreak as my Indy has only been gone for 2 1/2 months...
