Jenna and family,

I'm so sorry that you had to say goodbye to Chilli so soon. It's harder to watch them suffer than to say goodbye, although it's not fair to have to do either after such a hard fight.  I took some pictures of Sadie on her last day, and although she could not stand, she was smiling. Although she could not go to greet people, her love of people drew them to her and some of her favorite people came to say goodbye. It sounds like it was similar for Chillidawg. I grieve with you today, and send you and your family warm thoughts hoping that your happy memories will give you some comfort.

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us. http://ranger.t.....pawds.com/

I am so sorry for your loss.

Our dog Hendrix lost his right front leg about 2 months ago to bone cancer and it has now spread. We are very heavy hearted and trying to make sure we do what's best for him, but I can't imagine how you must be feeling after making such a tough decision.  You are in my prayers.
