Hello all

This tripawds site has been such a help for us coping with Bledsoe getting bone cancer, his subsequent amputation and now, finally, his passing.  Bledsoe passed yesterday morning, peacefully, at home, with his family by his side.  We learned Friday that his tumor reoccurence was much worse than thought -- first, it was enormous and very close to pressing on his trachea; second he had several new nodules on his lungs; and third, and worst, he had a massive tumor in his chest cavity, which was also causing his chest to fill with fluid.  Thus we made "the decision" before things got worse and before he began to have serious difficulties breathing (though unfortunately his breathing had already started to get labored).  We spent our last day and a half together doing lots of fun things -- 3 trips to the park to play with balls and his human brother; ice cream and chicken nuggets from McDonald's with a gift card from the Live Like Roo foundation; an early 8th birthday party (his birthday is not until October) and lots of snuggles, treats and bones.  We made a slideshow video of his last day (see below)... it's sad, but it was very therapeutic for us to make for him.  He was a smart, funny, athletic, sweet, sensitive, loving and loyal pup who we will all miss very much.

Anyway, this tripawds site has been such a help and all your words, comments, ideas, etc. have helped us give Bledsoe the best life on three legs for 8 months or so that he could have had.  Thank you.
