Hey everyone! I wish I could put up pics but all I have is my phone Shine has been hopping around this morning!!! Its amazing! And standing by himself to go to the bathroom! Im trying to keep up now, when he starts moving! Should I try and get him to come to me without helping him? That's what he does, and wants to do, but sometimes he falls on his knub. It's on carpet, but I don't want him hurt. He stays kinda low to the ground as of now, I'm assuming learning balance. Puppies are sort of clumsy anyway. He starts goin kinda fast then stand all the way up takes 3 fast steps then falls and gets up. Anyway. Just don't want him hurt, but amazing how overnight he drastically changes and gets stronger! He's out like a light now
took a lot out of him!
Awesome news for now Jena & Shine

If you share photos on Facebook or anywhere else online, upload them and follow these instructions for adding images to forum posts. If not, consider starting a free blog so you can upload them from your phone to your Media Library.
Hope this helps!

Just curious... Shine's incision still looks good. It's not red or anything but it looks almost like his incision has shifted, or maybe his shoulder shifted so his incision looks like its in a little different spot. Is this OK? I'm scared I picked him up wrong and caused it. He doesn't act like it bothers him or anything. Just wondering!
A Tripawd does learn a new stance to be able to walk on three, so it is entirely possible that he shifted his weight and the scar moved a bit. If it doesnt' look irritated, red or is bothering him, I wouldn't worry. Mention it to your vet if you are at all concerned. But try to breathe, you're doing great!

I hope that picture of him worked!
Sorry, no. We deleted your posts since the image URLs were invalid. Follow the directions we linked to above; view your images wherever you have them online and copy the image file location (URL). Paste that into the Image URL field when using the Insert Media button in your post editor. Keep in mind that images must be publicly visible to be viewed here.
If you are on a mobile device, you will need to know some HTML to embed the image since you will not have the Rich Text editor. If that is the case, feel free to just paste an URL of the image itself and we'll embed it here for you. Or, share the image on the Tripawds Facebook Page .

On your computer you will have the rich text editor with the Insert Image button (it has a small tree on it.) Right click your image hosted somewhere online, and copy the file location. Paste that into the Image URL field when using the Insert Image button.
Hope this helps!

Hello Everyone!
Shine is adjusting very well on 3 legs!! He used to need us to hold him up while he did his business, but now he no longer wants our help! He is very comfortable standing and hopping around! For a little bit he did fall into the food/water bowl and that just broke my heart!
So i think I'm investing in something that holds his food and water higher up for him because he doesnt seem to like to lay down to eat (which I completely understand). He gets tired pretty quickly, either that or plays for an entire day and sleeps the entire next!
He also sleeps through the night apart from the potty break. He's even doing very well potty training! He has only tinkled inside twice because of EXCITEMENT! Otherwise he will whine when he wants to be let out! I couldnt believe it!
His incision is looking good, other than it seems to look diffrent everyday..I spoke with the vet and she told me he still has a bone, joint, and muscle in that area. It may look different, especially as he grows...And boy does he look like he's grown! I just noticed today he seems huge! He is back to being a playful puppy, although he isn't actually running much yet. He hops around but hasn't mastered it to the point where he is very quick, I'm sure that will come with time.
Shine will get his stitches out tomorrow! I'm excited for this because sometimes it looked like when he stretched that shoulder it could pop right out of his incision! I also asked my vet about this and she said if it hasn't yet and he gets his stitches out tomorrow it's not likely.
I am a bit worried about him no longer having pain meds...how long were your babies on pain medication? I just don't want the little man to hurt too badly!! I know it may be uncomfortable because he'll be getting used to things still, but I don't want him hurting. He's just a little guy
Thanks for the continued support!
