If anyone is so inclined to drop a buck to vote for Yoda's pic in our local (Dane County, WI) Humane Society's calendar contest, that would be pawesome!

I didn't read the rules carefully enough, you might have to make a minimum of 5 votes ($5) to participate – lame.

All 2011 calendar entries have been posted online and now it is time for YOU to choose the winners! Four lucky pets (or pairs) will be chosen as seasonal representatives - one each for winter, spring, summer, and fall. Click through the seasons below to cast your votes. Each vote is just a $1 donation to the animals of DCHS (5 votes minimum). You can vote as often as you like and all proceeds help homeless animals."

Well Yoda just got my Votes for the Fall calendar contest. I love Yoda the Tripawd athelete. It's a great picture and Spirit Yoda should be the winner in my opinion.

(By the way, if you haven't already, you should totally check out Gerry's latest blog on our vacation to Virginia Beach. Yoda took that same trip with us a couple years ago. Both my guys were/are such sunbathers. The beach seemed like a great choice for both of them. Shoot, I should have dug up an old beach pic of Yoda and added that to the blog. Tomorrow perhaps.)

Haven't voted yet, but will do so before the weekend is over. Would love to see Yoda in the calendar, he was always one of my favorites. I have a souvenier calendar of each of the ones Trouble was in this year, they are very special to me.

Thanks for all the votes for Yoda/donations for the my local Humane Society shelter!!! Competition is steep, so we probably don't have a shot, but the good news is that even if he doesn't win the "seasonal representative" spot for Fall, he could still get picked for one of the remaining months. So only vote for the joy of giving to a deserving animal shelter (though I'm sure you all have shelters near you that you can support instead).

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

I always loved Yoda. I so want to see him make the calendar. I know what you mean about steep competition. One of the calendars Trouble is in this year was a vote/donation. We were lucky to have some very generous supporters who wanted to see her make it.

Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Hey Yoda - nice to see a post from you instead of your little brother for a change. And thanks for bumping this Post. I missed it the first time around.
Please keep bumping it forward so more people see it. You are pretty close to the top of the pack so it won't take much for you to pull into the lead (just a few rabbits to entice you, oh fearless tripawd rabbit killer - I can just imagine that picture in the calendar, horrifying all the little kids).
I also sent a few votes to the winter tripawd, although she doesn't seem to be quite a popular as you! Go figure.
