Jim, Rene & Wyatt were on their way to Blog Paws & the Tripawd Party so they came through Council Bluffs and we met up and had lunch. They are the most awesome people and Wyatt was really well behaved. We ate at a little diner called Dixie Quicks and they were pet friendly so Wyatt got to join us on the patio. We took him for a little walk while waiting for our table.
It felt like I knew them forever. I want to thank them for taking the time to stop and see me and let me meet our spokes dawg who made quite the impression on people around here. He even had a lady hanging out her apartment window watching him. 🙂
I sure wish I could be going to the Pawty at the end of May you will all love meeting them. Rene got some better pictures but here are a few that I took.

Too cool! So glad you all got to meet up.
Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.
You can read their stories at http://adelaide.tripawds.com and http://brendol.tripawds.com
Michelle we had a blast! You are even sweeter and kinder in person, and we felt the same way, it was like hanging out with an old friend. I'm so glad we got the chance to see you and your town. Wish we had time to meet the pupperz though, it was way too fast. Next time for sure, we are really in love with your state!
I highly recommend Tripawds community members meet up whenever they get a chance, it's a really awesome experience you'll never forget!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Yay for you to meet them! Someday I would love to do the same! (Maybe they could travel through Wisconsin some day???)

Oh, so glad you got to meet them! Sounds like a fun time. Great pictures Michelle! Rene, I love how you call your camera the camera, camera! I use that term also. So funny that we all use our phones so much that taking pictures with an actual camera has to be explained. How our world has changed. By the way, I use my camera, camera a lot too! I tend to actually print them out that way. Looking forward also to meeting you next weekend. Alison, we here on the East coast are going to hold you to that promise for next year, Sally and I will buy the wine and chocolate. Lori, Ty & the gang

Just wanted to share this with everyone. We never thought Iowa would be such a beautiful, fantastic place to visit but it truly is. We've had a blast! Come see Michelle and you wont' be disappointed in her home state! These pics were taken in the last two days. The first on left with Michelle in her town, then we went to the "Bridges of Madison County" home and wow it's beautiful! Then we saw a really cool observatory where Wyatt was like "Uh, what is THIS?" Iowa is so not like what we thought. We'll be back!

Awwwww...that is totally special and such wonderful memories made!!! And Wyatt...so handsome just hanging out and sight seeing!!!
Hubby and I used to drive through Iowa on our way to Wyoming when he used to go out deer hunting. Iowa is such a pretty state and flat with lots of farm country. Sadly we never really had time to just stop and check out the sites...well except for the Iowa 80 Truck Stop. That was always the end of our first day of driving to get to WY from West Virginia.
Anyway, so happy you all had a wonderful time together!
