Ok, Dakota said he wants Barney. I hope it counts, because this is what really happened: Dakota said he wasn't interested, then Evelyn said she definitely wants him, and since Dakota is the most jealous creature to ever draw breath, now he wants Barney. So, I guess we want Barney!
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Abby says: "Sometimes my mom can be soooo oblivious. We have been on the tripawds site for almost 8 months now and this is the first either of us have heard of the Kill Barney Tour! WtH??
I WANT Barney. Here is what I would do with him:
First, I'd let him settle into his own room, which has a lovely view. I think he'd be quite comfortable there. Then my mom has offered to take him to the 'world famous' San Diego zoo. (I would like to go along, but they have stupid rules about dogs.) After that we could take him to the bestest dog beach ever, and my favorite place in the world, Fiesta Island. There are over 100 acres of room to run and you can play in the water and stay nice and cool. He could meet my other friends. Hopefully there would be pelicans there. I think they look a little prehistoric, and he might like seeing something that looks like it's right out of the paleolithic era. (My mom thinks I am not smart enough to know words like paleolithic, but then, she also thinks I don't know how to get into my food bin. It's not that I don't know how; I'm just biding my time...)
Anyway, after all that site-seeing and fun, he'd be tired, and I'd bring him back here to my house and, with his nice, false sense of security, I'd kill him. (It is the KILL Barney tour, right? Not the Maim Barney or Wing Barney or Show Barney A Good Time tour. Correct?)
This is what I did to my so-called "tuff" shark that my parents brought me back from Maui. You don't need two front paws to hold these things down and kill them. One paw works just as good!
Please send him to me. I want to eat him. Now! Nom, nom, nom. Love, Abby"
Abby's mom says: "I have been sewing for years and can handle the repairs necessary to get him in shape to travel on to the next house, so even though Abby is threatening to actually kill him, I think I can resuscitate him. Also, I noticed on the map that he's never been to San Diego. Geez, just like all the big rock groups who skip our fair city! I think Barney is about due for a little dose of what used to be 'America's Finest City'."

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Now THAT sounds like a plan! Lookout, he might just show up on your doorstep soon!

That's the spirit! Hopefully riosmom or one of Barney's next hosts will see your post.
Barney will be packing his bags soon and i think after all the love he has had here he may need a bit of tough love, so are there any tripawds out there who thinks they can toughen up the purple one. PM me if you think you are suitable.
Dizzy diagnosed with osteosarcoma 24 may 2011 amputated same day doing fine hopping around on three legs giving the neighbourhood cats what for
Katy has informed me that she'd LOVE a crack at that stupid purple dino. She became an official Tripawd just 2 days ago, so she's still recovering of course, but nomming on Barney's butt would certainly give her something to do while she's lying around with an icepack on her chest. Now's a good time to visit Florida, not too hot, rainy season's over...Katy and her sisters would show the purplesaurus an awesome time, I promise!
I'm Crystal, but you can call me Katymom. :) I'm Triproud of my Tripawd!
Katy Sue Sarcopski – born approx 2/03, found "the lump" 9/7/11, suspected soft tissue sarcoma (most likely liposarcoma) 10/11, became a Tripawd 11/1/11, official diagnosis of infiltrating lipoma 11/23/11

We'd love to see that! If you haven't already, you may want to PM Barney's last host to see if he's been sent on his way yet.
