Paula and Warrior Angel Nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

Baxter finally got to meet Santa today. He was so excited, he had all the dogs in the store barking. We had to go "hide" so the people in front of us could get their dogs calmed down enough for their picture.

For comparison's sake, this was the first time Rocky met Santa. He was not as amused as Baxter was.

Yeah, Rocky doesn't want anything to do with that Santa Claus, except, as Jackie said, maybe as an entree on his dinner plate!
Now, speaking of "that" Santa Claus, Baxter's Santa Claus is certainly more engaged! His body language is a lot more welcoming to Baxter than Rocky's Santa Claus!! Then again, Rocky's body language isn't exactly welcoming either!!!
I think Baxter's Santa had a much more believable beard. I think Rocky knew his Santa was fake. Smear boy!

Yeah, Santa with Rocky is like "I'm ready to go home" and Rocky is like "Take your picture, because this is as close as I'm getting to this guy." Baxter's Santa is definitely having a better time.
I never even noticed the beards. Yeah, Baxter's was more legit. Rocky knew his was a fake.

Just got home from the emergency vet a little while ago. Baxter’s back issue flared up again. It was about a year ago when it first happened. So it’s looking like he may have some sort of disc disease.
I got him some Gabapentin and Carprofen at the ER but declined X-Rays. I’ll have his regular vet look at him later today and go from there. The nurse at the ER didn’t seem real optimistic, so hopefully we get better news later today.
