This life vest has really not been used. It came from Spirit Sadie who wore it occasionally on a pool deck but didn't swim in it. Then Dakota got it but we were never able to get his scaredy butt into the water. So it's virtually brand new and looks it.
The brand is Paws Aboard and it's neon yellow. Here is a link to the sizing chart. It requires 3 different measurements so look carefully: http://acstampa.....-Chart.pdf
Dakota was slightly over 80 pounds at amputation and this vest was almost too big. It would fit a big boy or girl but probably not the average lab or Golden. You can see how big it was on D because the straps were tightened all the way, so the black straps are hanging on the floor beside him here.
All I ask in return is that you hold it quietly for a moment and remember how absolutely special Sadie and Dakota were. Then tell your dog about them.
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Special dawgs indeed. That float vets has magic inside.
Thanks for posting this, I know someone will find it very useful.

Hi Dakota Dawg! It looks like Athena would fit in the life vest. Her neck is 2" smaller than the sizing chart measurements... but looking at the picture, I should be able to adjust it to fit. (And what a sweet little boy Dakota was!) Athena LOVES swimming! The first thing I thought of when I got home from her cancer diagnosis was I felt so guilty for not taking her swimming yet this year.

I will always love you, Athena.
Mr. Admin or Jerry--Would you please change this to "taken" since the lovely Athena will be getting the life vest? I'll try to get it out tomorrow, Jessica, so Athena will have it as soon as she's cleared for swimming by her dogtor.

Shari, Athena got her life vest today and put it on to check the fit and it looks great! Thank you! She is sooo ready to go swimming again, but now I have to find a place that is a short hop from the car to the water instead of the normal hike. Her walks are still short because she gets tired and worn out quickly.
How do I add a picture to my post? (I'll put it in a blog post, instead.)

How do I add a picture to my post?
Here are detailed instructions for adding images to forum posts. Basically, right click the image in your blog (or click edit in the library) to copy the file location and paste that in the Image URL field usins the Insert Image button in your forum post editor.
If you're on a mobile device, just paste the image link since you won't have the edit tools. Hope this helps!
