One of our rescue Great Pyr's Ingrid was diagnosed with OS and has had an amputation to her back left leg.
She has not been walking as well as hoped and we are in desperate need of any harness/equipment that may encourage her to walk without fear.
We are interested in ANY gear that may get her up and going.
Thanks to all,
Carla & Ingrid
Carla and Ingrid! We may be able to help! Spirit Kaneda's dad gifted us her large harness and Angel Bo doesn't need it now that he is in heaven. Out of respect to Spirit Kaneda's family, I need to check with them to make sure they are ok with us passing it on. I'm quite sure it will be ok, but I do want ask. I'll let you know something very soon!
Too sweet Meghan. If this is for sure let us know and we will edit the title to say "taken." Thanks.

Meghan, I can't tell you how much we appreciate the harness you sent for Ingrid. Our hearts go out to you in your loss of Bo and your kind, thoughtful gesture in sending Ingrid his harness. When it arrived, Ingrid came over sniffed it, wagged her tail and put her head in the harness. She has never worn a harness, so we were surprised at her delight. It was truly as though Bo and Kaneda gave her a signal.She actually looked closely at the picture you sent of Bo and Kaneda.
She wears it so proudly and it has helped her so very much getting up and down the steps. It has also helped us retrieve her from our neighbors yard when she does not want to come home ;} (Typical Pyr behavior….we love that stubborn streak even more now;}
Would you please send me your address and if you have Kaneda's family address as well to mailto:neetdesigns@aol.com

Awww. That is so sweet.
Carla, tell me where you pics are and I'll fix them. I tried but I can't see where you are posting them from.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Ok, I'm totally boo-hooing right now! Happy tears though. I'm glad that the harness is helping Ingrid. I remember Bo being really excited when we got it. He could still smell Kaneda. I just love how amazing animals are...they have those extra senses. This update really uplifted me; thank you!
I can't wait to see the pictures!
