Next Saturday is the Second Saturday of the month, it's pawty time in Mill Valley!!!
Let's meet at 11AM and have a ball! Shelby will bring the communal water bowl and I'm bettin she'll come away with at least 5 new tennis balls.
Look forward to meeting Miles and seeing old friends once again.
See ya!!!! Shelby, the P.P.
Yea!!!
I'll be there with Tani, not sure about Obie. He managed to really mess up his eye two weeks after I brought him home. At least we had 14 days of 'normal'! He is recovering but the eye still need to be protected. We see the vet Thursday, if it has healed enough I'll bring him. He is very shy and submissive around other dogs- partly due to his current lack of vision. But even before the eye injury he was pretty timid.
If I bring him maybe I'll bring Mag's stroller so he has somewhere to hide!
Can't wait to see everyone!

Okay!
I milk my cow in the mornings and have to feed all my animals, so cannot leave here until probably 10am. How long does it take to drive from Auburn? How long will you all be there so maybe I can join in late? And is there any nice campgrounds (state kind, dry camp, not the RV park kind) and maybe I'll bring my little Bessie the RV and Betty too (if she's well enough and the vet approves)...

We'll have to miss this one--family stuff going on next weekend and I have to be there. We'll see you all in September. Wish it didn't have to be like this....we'll miss you all!

Hi, I'd like to invite all the Northern California Tripawd family to join me for the very first K9 Cancer Walk in the S.F. Bay Area!
That's right we decided that Northern California needed another Canine Cancer Walk. We were so inspired by everyone's support of the 2nd Annual Sacramento/Elk Grove walk that raised over $64,000 for canine cancer research, our volunteers wanted to do another one.
Thank you to Tripawd members who made both Elk Grove Walks a success and the Denver Area Tripawders that will be participating for the 2nd year at the K9 Cancer Walk in Estes Park, CO. As always the K9 Cancer Walks have a very short walk option so all dogs and owners can participate.
We are so grateful to the family at Tripawd.com for their support of every single K9 Cancer Walk so far. Plans are underway for another California walk in February 2010 in the San Diego area.
Jim has already created the Tripawd Team for the 1st Annual K9 Cancer Walk in Los Gatos, CA Sunday October 10th. Here is a link:

The K9 Cancer Walks were founded after I lost my beloved Brenna to bone cancer in her pelvis. I hope you will join me as we walk in memory of beloved dogs lost to cancer and moving forward to make a better future for all dogs.
Thanks!

Howdy Dawn, I would say Mill Valley is 2 hours from Sacramento. So add your time from Auburn to Sac.
We usually stay till between 3 to 4PM or whenever the dogs or their people run out of gas.
I have no idea about nearby campgrounds. You might search campgrounds in either Marin or Sonoma counties.
Take care and we hope to see you there. the chauffeur.
According to Dad's GPS, from the ramp of 49 with I-80 at Auburn to the Bay Front Dog Park in Mill Valley, is 119 miles and 1:52:28 – via the Carquinez Straight (I-80W) bridge and the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (I-580W). If, on the other hand, one routes via 37 at Vallejo to 101 South, then the distance increases to 122 miles and 1:54:42 but you would not have two bridge tolls via the round trip. Hope that this helps.

We got to meet Obie yesterday! He is a very handsome boy who has a wonderful new family. I think Tani is very happy to have a brother. We also met a front leg tripawd from Mill Valley, an Italian Grayhound. Karen had a Tripawds card and we spent some time with them, very nice family.
Weather was cool in the morning and we met a ton of new dogs and nice folks. What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
Shelby, the P.P.
Thanks for the update! I am so sorry that I wasn't able to make it. I had every intention to and was telling Miles that he was going to get to meet a bunch of fun folks! But I have two horses for sale and a bull and had two people call Friday that wanted to come out to see one of the horses, so that took priority. Happy to say I think I have the horse sold! So, we will be looking forward to the next meetup!

What about if we meet up next on Nov 7 for the 2 Million Dogs Inaugural Puppy Up! Walk

A lap or two around the dog park should qualify, and we can post on the Mill Valley Dog Park blog to let more people know.
What do you all think??

Hi Mary,
Where should we meet next Sunday at the Cancer Walk? I think Travis Ray and Codie Rae's pack will be with the GSD rescue folks. Or should we just look for Cemil??
The 7th sounds like a good idea- I think we were also trying to set up something in the East Bay for the Wyatt Ray Dawd 2010 West Coast Tour of Terror, but is sounded like they would be around here later in the month. Two November meet ups maybe?

Hi! So Chloe and I will be the new additions to the Nor Cal meet up next Sunday for the Los Gatos Cancer Walk! I have no idea what any of you look like, nor am I familiar with the area with regards to where we should all "meet up" at Vasona Park. I am sure you guys will recognize me in my original Tripawd Chloe shirt, so feel free to introduce yourself to me if you see us!
Anyway, since I am in Santa Cruz I probably won't make the Mill Valley meets since that is a 280 mi round trip for me. We look forward to meeting you next Sunday though! (Top picture is shirt Front. Bottom picture is shirt Back).

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
