Hi all! My dog, a female standard poodle is a new Tripaw. Her surgery was three weeks ago this past Saturday and she is doing great. I would love for her to socialize and meet up with other Tripaws in our area. If you are from around the western suburb area of Chicago, please let me know. I would love to get together.
Mom to Cadence
Cadence Faye: Born 10/30/04, stepped into our hearts 12/23/2004. Rear leg tumor found 7/24/11 by mom and dad, Xray on 7/25/11, Osteosarcoma suspected 7/26/11, amputation 7/29/11, Carboplatin started 8/23. Met free so far!
Welcome and thanks for joining! We look forward to hearing more about Cadence. There are plenty of Tripawds members in the Chicago area who have gotten together in the past. Your future forum posts will not require moderation.

Thanks for sending Cadence's photo. She's a beauty! Just thought I'd share it here for everyone... consider starting a blog to easily upload more. Good luck planning another Tripawds Party!

I remember reading that the other Chicagoans were planning on meeting up again in September, so watch for that.
I wanted to bring up again for any Illinoians interested:
Anyone for a Tripawds team at this walk for canine cancer research on Sunday, Nov. 6th in West Dundee, IL? (I think registration is just individual, but still we'd be a team in spirit of course! ) I certainly want to try to get down there with Gerry for that special occasion. Meeting up with more Tripawds folks would certainly be an added incentive!
Details are here:
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
