We are interested. We're in Upstate NY outside Albany. Thanks so much, and please let us know if we can help in any way!

I'd love to bring Cooper to meet some other tripawds. Count me in. My schedule is nuts, but hopefully we can figure out something!
Cooper (11/11/11 - 3/29/24) was a hound-collie mix "mutt" who was badly injured as a puppy and lost his leg at 7 months of age. We adopted him after the operation. He' was wonderful companion and comforting presence in our family for 12 years. He lived a fabulous life on three legs and was an inspiration to all. We will never forget our Coopie-Doopie-Doo.
WHEEEEEE! Oh my gosh you guys this would be our first official NE get-together. Let's keep the convo going and let us know how we can help promote it.

YAAY we have interest!
Hopefully we get a couple more - maybe this can go out on the next TriPawds e-blast?
I'm open to suggestions to visit and I love research too - this is one place I always wanted to visit, though it might be too far for some, I know we have MA and Albany, NY and I'm in CT. I guess it depends on how many we get.

This week's Tripawds News has already been scheduled.
As soon as we have a date and location, we'll create a Facebook event and get it in the newsletter for sure!

I cannot make any promises, and as you all know I can't take Huck lol. But once you decide the where and when if I could find a cheap-o plane ticket I would try to get there. To many if's to count on me but I'm watching to see how it all rolls out.
Hugs,
Jackie

Hi guys! Just like Jackie, Rusty wouldn't exactly be a traveling companion, but maybe I can make it. In Jersey, so it would be a manageable drive.

Rusty "The Bunnyman" adopted us in 2014. Aug/Sept 2017, back left leg amputated (HSA cancer). He remained cancer free over 900 days. Cancer returned as of emergency visit on day 931. 15 days later, he gained his wings 04/18/2020 due to congestive heart failure. He will always watch over his fellow tripawds and their hoomins with Head Scritches and Sand Paper Kisses.
I guess it's an exceptionally busy time of year for us. Depends on where we get together, also, and how many days involved. Our best chance could be March 30. The following Wednesday we leave for vacation in Delaware, so it's tight timewise and $$$ wise. The weekend of the 13th I have a hockey game, although I might be able to find a sub, but can't guarantee.
We love the idea of Dog Mountain. It's probably 3.5--4 hours from here. When we are in Burlington VT we often think of heading over there, but haven't yet. It's about an hour and a half from Burlington so timewise we haven't worked it out.

Ohhhhh, their story (The Hunecks) is so sad!! 🙁
The only weekend listed above that I might be able to do it is March 30th, but that's iffy.
Distance is about 4 hours for me and Coop.

I agree. Could be too cold in March,.... and.... I am in the hospital! I will probably be out of work for two weeks. Had emergency surgery, and won't be able to lift or have a dog pulling me around. So.... May or June work well. At that time of year, though, ticks can be bad. We will figure it out.
Cooper meets up with his siblings on the beach in Gloucester every November for their birthday. We could do something like that in late April or early May before the beach restrictions for dogs start. Just as an alternative to having to stay overnight somewhere.

Oh no KS! Ouch! Please get well soon! Sorry you had to be there and really hope you are on the mend and back on your feet in no time.
