Hello Tripawds family:)
We're still here! Sorry we haven't been around much. Things are going ok, I'll be sure to update our blog or post something soon...
Rudyroo would love to go and hang out and party! Unfortunately we can't make it out there:( such a bummer. I hope everyone has a good time!
Rudy sends lots of sloppy licks and love:)
Today's party was a smashing success! All kinds of people showed up, including some formerly unknown Tripawds who saw the news on Facebook and decided to show up and introduce themselves, which made things even better. All kinds of things were happening. There was…
Butt sniffin'…
…mountain climbin'…
Treats were dispensed…
…Shelby got a brand new tennis ball along with a free pelvic exam…
…and an impressive turnout made a great time for everyone!
That pretty much says it all. Every time we think these parties can't get any better, we're wrong. We had such a good time that Bernie bin Laden was almost too tired to misbehave at dinner. Almost…
Thanks for coming, everyone!
OMD, I was just about to take that first sip of coffee when I saw Shelby's "special" twofer of the tennis ball AND the free pelvic exam! I should know better than to read anything from you, John, while trying to eat or drink. I might literally die laughing.
So happy everyone had a blast and nobody needed a trauma center. I saw no clouds of smoke coming over the Rockies, which is a good thing. Love the photo of Obie mountain climbing, too! Evelyn would be so insanely jealous. I wish we could have a central tripawds blowout in Kanas and have absolutely everyone there! Including BBL.
Shari
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Great pics. Wish we could have come up to join the fun, well, except for the free pelvic exams...
Cemil looks like a great hugger. I want a hug too!
Sure is a good looking bunch of doggies!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
So much fun!!! We were so bummed that our road trip timing got pushed out a couple of weeks and we weren't able to attend. I agree with Shari, though. We need a country-wide Tripawd pawty!!!
Loved the photos and commentary!

From what we could see, everyone had a ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We tried to count all of the dogs and their peeps, this is what we came up with.
7 Tripawds, 8 quadpaws, 17 humans!
Folks came from Chico, Oakland, San Francisco, Orange County, Novato, Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park and Livermore.
Seems like everytime we looked at who was coming down the path, it was a Tripawd and their families!
It was great to meet new Tripawds, quad paws and their families and wonderful to see everyone laughing, throwing tennis balls, taking pictures, catching up and sharing stories about what brought us all together, our Tripawds.
The chauffeur
Pawsome photos, Shelby. Rio is in LOVE with the pink sparkly cape!!!!!

It was great to hang out with old friends, and meet a couple of new friends.
Obie did great, he did not spend the whole time hiding, and he was really good with people. Still waiting for the dog interactions to happen.
The mountain climbing is new- although he does like to get up on the back of the couch.
Tani way over exerted herself- I'll have to keep a better eye on her next time. She cruised all around the park checking on snack possibilities, and kept standing up on Shelby's wagon. She even chased a couple of dogs. She could barely walk when we got home last night.
Both pugs went to bed right after dinner at 5:00, and we slept in this morning!
Can't wait to see everyone next time.
