My schedule is a bit up in the air at the moment - long story related to my hubs getting hit by another driver in the car I was supposed to be driving over to AZ to my Mom's to help her pack up (she's moving over here). Anyway, won't bore you w/ the long details - but the accident has screwed up my plans for going to my Mom's so now I'm heading over there way later than planned. Not sure how much she has left to do, or when I'm coming back, but in theory if I'm here, Rita and I could meet up!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Hi Rene! We can't do the following Monday; we have a training session with Bin Laden, and I'm taking off a half day of work to go to it. The training session is important, because we're gearing up to go back to Carmel/Nor Cal in May! You may recall, we had to cut our vacation a day short last time (April 2012) because BBL was really letting his inner terrorist out. Mostly he was terrorizing me, but his behavior also included pretty much the whole square mile village of Carmel-By-The-Sea. Remember the look you said I had at the Dairyland Dog Park a couple Mondays ago? I had a way worse look in Carmel last year! Perhaps you've had "that look" at some point or another also! 
Let's get one thing straight.
Bernie Bin Laden cannot be any worse than ME, no matter how much training he gets!
Forget the training, bring him out to Fiesta Island so we can show you what REAL terror is like!

Well, we're bummed too! Maybe the silver lining to this is that we will have a stellar report card for our May vacation! Let's all hope and pray that's the case. 
Wyatt, I'm sorry you won't have BBL to wrestle with on the island. But, I also know you'll be able to find some fun on your own. I hope you and your folks have a great time out there in San Diego! Hopefully some other So Cal Tripawds will be free to join you for a wild time of running, sniffing, peeing, and maybe even swimming!
