Way cool Jerry! Thank you so much for starting up the team! I think it makes sense for you to be the team 'sponsor'. I will advertise our event on the 19th everywhere I can think of and have a link to Tripawds.com and the Team Tripawd website so hopefully we will get lots of folks to join us!
Cemil and Caira Sue, Codie Rae would love to meet you guys on the 12th for a pre-event! Why dont we plan on it (and anyone else is welcome to join us too). Then we can have the BIG SHOW on the 19th.

Okay, we'll be there!! What time works for everyone?
And thanks, Jerry, for setting up Team Tripawds. Now we have a starting place!

Caira Sue and Cemil (and whomever else would like to show up), How about we meet at 10 or 11 on the 12th--we like to get out as early as possible but you guys are coming from a little further so will let you make the call.
.......and I would propose from 11 to 1 on the 19th for the really Big Pawty. Let me know if anyone has an objection to that bc I want to start getting the word out. If you want to make the event longer that would be fine. Since I dont know if I will even be there! But somebody 'in charge' should probably be there the whole time. I know if we can make it Codie Rae will have a total melt down and get snarky after about half an hour and we will either have to leave or she will have to go sit in the corner by herself, maybe your pups are more easygoing and you will be able to stay longer. We could do it in shifts too.
See ya on the 12th!

Hi! This is Janette, Torsten's been posting on this thread, but just wanted to let everyone know that Montana can make the 19th in Mill Valley and the time sounds good! We'll sign up to be virtual walkers for Colorado as well. We'll watch this post for follow up details:-)
Excellent! I hope we will be able to be there so we can meet you!
Also, Codie Rae wanted me to let everyone know that German Shepherd Rescue is having a doggy play date this coming Saturday in Fremont and any friendly dog is welcome to come play. Here are the details:
Saturday August 29th. It will be at a fenced-in park in Fremont, just off 680. This is not a dog park, so it should be just 'our' dogs.
We will be there at 11 AM and plan for a couple of hours of play, followed by a lunch at the nearby restaurant with outdoor seating. All friends, neighbors, and family-members are welcome as long as their dogs are dog/people friendly (even if they are not GSDs!!) ☺. The gathering place is:
Fred E. Weibel Elementary School
45135 S Grimmer Blvd
Fremont, CA 94539
Coming from South:
Take 680 North or 880 North, exit Mission Blvd East (toward the hills), (from 880 there is only one choice, east), Turn left on Paseo Padre, continue for about a mile, it is on your right at the corner of Grimmer. There is parking available on school grounds.
Coming from North:
Take 680 South or 880 South, exit AutoMall Parkway (Durham Rd.) East, (toward the hills). From 680 you'll be turning right at the end of off ramp. from 880, you'll be making a left at the end of off ramp.
Turn right on Paseo Padre, continue for about 1/2 mile, it is on your right at the corner of Grimmer. There is parking available on school grounds.

Dang, wish we could be there, it's going to be a blast. Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm, you are all sooooo kind!

I was telling one of vendors where I work today about the "big to-do" coming up on the 19th, and he said "I sure hope you take a bunch of pictures, I've never seen a 3 legged dog in real life." I told him, with a bit of an uppity smirk, "Heck, we got big tripawds, little tripawds, man, they're comingfrom all over the bay area and we're gonna take over the whole park and have us a big 'ol time." He has a new, little golden-doodle puppy and when he talks about it his face lights up! He said he might come by. I told him he's very welcome and if he did come by, he could say he's seen a whole herd of 3 legged dogs!
Can't wait!!
