Hi Everyone!

I know that there was a Morris Animal Foundation K9 Cancer walk in May, but I was unable to attend that one as it was at the end of my semester and much farther than Los Gatos.  There is a K9 cancer walk in Los Gatos again this year on October 9, 2011 which I can and WILL attend!  So a couple things:

1. Admins are you going to make a Tripawds team for this event? Or do you think people are already tapped out?

2.  I made a shirt for last year’s event and I would like to take this opportunity to open this forum up to adding new names to the back of my shirt!! Click here to see last year’s forum.

3.  Any Nor/Central Cal people planning on attending the event? If so let me know!!

Purpose: Why am I doing this you ask? Well for those of you who are unable to make it to the event, I would like to write your beloved dog’s name on my shirt if they have been affected by cancer: a cancer survivor or have passed away from cancer (I will take tripawd and quadpawd names if they have ever been affected by cancer) and walk for them and you at the event.  It is free, just write a comment if you would like me to write your dog’s (past or present, tripawd or quadpawd) name on the back.  If they have passed, I will put a + next to their name to signify that they have crossed Rainbow bridge.

And/Or you can purchase your very own Tripawd Chloe T shirt, sweatshirt etc… from the Tripawd store and go take your own pooches on your own walk around your neighborhood!!!  And for those of you who already own one, YOU can wear it on October 9th in your home town while Chloe and I walk for Cancer in Los Gatos, CA!!!

Here are the names from last year, I hope to add many more (excluded the +s in the names below):

Chloe, Bonnie, Gayle, Tasha, Ruthie, JD, Jerry, Mackenzie, Keoke, Rugby, Maggie, Captain Jack Dillon, Magic, Roxy, Skyler, Tomas, Rosie, Rocky, James, Sammy, Sampson, Trouble, Alexander, Jersey May, Zeke, Calpurnia, Linus, Max, Kona Kai, Sophie, Fortis, Deebo, Tori, Titus, Jake, Timber, Holly, Christy, Max M., Pez, Emily, Tshuvah, Yesha, Tzav, Molly, Sadie, Don, Riley, Mika, Annie, Catie, Takoda, Missi, Zip, Mia, Claudia, Honey, Johann, Simba, Sunny, Shelli, Belle.

I will be taking names until October 8th and I’m ok with repeats since sometimes great minds think alike and we have dogs with the same name wink.

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

Awww Good Times! Love those pics Nicole.

We love your enthusiasm and will be hoppy to put your shirt design in the Tripawds Gift Shop for walkers.

As far as forming an official team, we hadn't planned on doing one for Los Gatos, since we had fundraised so aggressively for the Elk Grove walk earlier this year (we were one of the top 10 teams!) and want to give people a rest from all the fundraising. So I think we will bow out of creating an official team this time around.

Thanks so much for bringing this up!

It's better to hop on three legs than to limp on four.™
