I'm considering it. Will all depend on airfare. Can't afford to spend a lot, and have some other just discovered complications to consider.

I can see it now!
Everyone is going to fall in love with me and everyone is going to wish they can take me home! But they can't. And then they'll miss me. And then they'll all want to come back to visit me. And then they'll all come back. And then we'll have company all the time! And then some will want to move in with us just to see me! And before you know it, twelve people are living in our house!
It's gonna happen, I just know it!
I think the Monkeydog has become delusional.... It's sad, but it happens...

Well, we are thinking seriously about coming to "Lost Wages" for the weekend. The P.P. has let it be known that she wishes to attend this auspicious occasion.
Take Friday off, drive 10 hours, meet nice people, have fun.
Saturday, goof around, go to the race track and see if Carroll Shelby is giving away a free car. Maybe he'll let me sit in one…
Sunday, go to the race, meet more nice people, take pictures, laugh and have a big 'ol time.
Monday, drive back home with smiles on our faces. (And maybe a Shelby GT 500 in tow!!!!!!!!!!)
What part of town would be best to stay in, is there a hotel that the P.P. would approve of and would we be the only one's bringing their TRIPAWD?
Let us know about hotels and such.
Thanks, the chauffeur
Oh man, we need to point our RV west!

Oh! That would be wonderful! This weekend or the Dec 1st weekend? Either one will be great!
I'll check on hotels that are pet friendly.

That weekend just freed up for me... thinking about it. Its a 8 hour drive from here- but I think flights are pretty cheap too. I have to see about a pug sitter and maybe take the Monday off work.
Are there meet up plans? Are the people that are going staying at the same place?
I'm getting more excited as I type... maybe I can swing this!
Karen
Those are all the Pet Friendly hotels here.
I know one is staying at the Tropicana on the strip...with no pets.
Karen, that would be great!
So far, we have no actual plans. We just plan on hooking up Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then the marathon on Monday (those that can stay that long)
If you need anything, you can call me...

I bet that post really was from the MBBVP... If you dial that number it will be like the Viagra hotline or something like that...
I wouldn't trust him....
just saying,

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
I am still trying to figure out if I can swing this... I would LOVE to come with Abby - she loves to meet new people and it would be awesome blog fodder. (Always looking for blog fodder! 🙂 ) BUT... she hates long car rides, so I could really only bring her if my hubby could also come along to help me deal with her. And it only makes sense to go (since it's a 5 1/2 hour drive) if he can take at least the Friday or the Monday off work. His work is crazy stressful right now, so while it would be awesome for him to take a day off, I'm not really sure he'll be able to. Might have to wait until it gets a little closer to decide.
The other option is to just fly by myself - but that's no fun, since I'd love to bring the Ab-ster along.
We'll have to see... Contemplating...

We'll see... It's only been a little while! I bet your OWN MAMA begs me to come. Your mama would totally love on me and I would KISS HER. And you would JEALOUS-WEALOUS, which is what you always are of Tripawds... so I guess you would be DOUBLE JEALOUS-WEALOUS.
Kisses, oh, and raspberries! Mostly raspberries!
