SUNDAY, MAY 30TH

BADGER PRAIRIE DOG PARK
(6720 Highway 151, Verona, WI)
TRIPAWDS PAWTY!!!
Bad weather date: June 5th, same time (unless anyone objects?)
Let me know if you'd like/need directions. But I actually recommend that everyone who hasn't been there before, and plans on coming, to check out Gerry's blog next week, by which time I should have a post with tips on finding the park. (Feel free to nag me if I take to long with that). The driveway is a little too easy to miss - as they always seem to be at dog parks. I guess they expect us to follow our dogs' noses.
Could people remind me (or update me) on who definitely can make it? Come on, make everyone else jealous and wish they could come too to hang out with your dog!
I have no idea what the turnout of non-Tripawd members will be. It is Memorial Day weekend and people are building immunities to advertisements, so it may just be us. But that will be more than pawesome enough! I told Yoda's oncologist about it and she was very psyched about it (though she can't make it, unfortunately) and said she told everyone in oncology (at the UW Vet School Clinic), that the posters I dropped off would go up, and three-legged patients would be informed. And then I've been trying to get out to put up posters at as many dog parks, libraries, pet stores, etc. Still have a bunch more to go.
Would people like food? Especially you out-of-towners, so you don't have to go searching? I could maybe order subs?

We'd love to be there! But we need to wait to see how Holly's bloodwork looks on Monday. If she gets her chemo treatment on Tuesday then we probably won't make it since she usually takes a bit of a dive about 4 days after her chemo... which would be Sat. 🙁 But I'll check with her vet and see what he says. Those dang WBC - really threw me off when they were low this time around. Otherwise we would have been golden! Oh - and I'm not sure I can take Zuzu to a dog park yet - need to check on that one, too. Although she'd LOVE to meet all of our tripawd friends!
I'll keep you posted... but we won't know the results of bloodwork until Tuesday morning.

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

8 days to go!
Sorry to here that a couple Tripawds members who were planning on coming may have to bow out for treatment/health reasons. It happens. We'll miss you, but we'll keep trying! Let me know when you know. And then if you want to try for another pawty soon after May 30th - I'm game, whether Madison, Chicago, Milwaukee, in between, etc.
We're rooting for GREAT bloodwork for Holly - even if that means she has to miss this pawty! Kick some cancer butt, Hol.
And I haven't heard from everybody yet, who had said they planned on coming... hint hint.
