Allison we hope you can make it! We would love to meet Ophelia!
How about Homer's Run Dog Park, in Golden? Here's a link.
Out of pure laziness on our part, we're trying to stick to parks near Bear Creek County Park, which is where we'll have our RV parked for the day. We didn't want to drive it around Denver.

We are in the same general area as all of you and the party sounds sooooo fun!
But, our vets are working with us to help us take K on vacation at that time despite some worries about being away from vet care. We're planning to spend a couple of weeks of vacation enjoying our girl and it will include the 19th. Sadly, based on what the CSU vets say, this may be K's last trip with us. We're hoping to beat the odds but we're living as if we won't beat them.
If our plans change for some reason, we'll be last-minute partiers!
K, an 8 year old chocolate lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the radius and ulna on 12/23/11. She had stereotactic radiation to kill the bone tumors, and 3 rounds of carboplatin. On 3/16/12, lung mets were found. We tried several different kinds of chemotherapy to slow the lung mets but none worked. Finally, mets appeared at other sites, including her spine. She earned her angel wings on July 15, 2012. K changed my life, and I'll never forget her. Our/my journey is chronicled at romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com.
Drats, we wish you could make it but we understand completely.
Paws crossed the CSU vets are wrong. Have a great time on vacation!

Hello!
I am new here. Just learned about this Tripawds from my friend who saw article about this. Gus, blue heeler - cattle dog who I got from New Hope Cattle Dog Rescue of Colorado. Have him for 3 months. Enjoy having him. He is AWESOME three legged. Was told about Colorado Pawty coming up next weekend. I hope to go because my saturdays are full till later in July.. depends on what time and where?
I am south of Denver, in Castle Pines (part of Castle Rock)..

Jerry, I don't think I have any time restrictions; however, I am not a crack-of-dawn person. What works for everybody else who is planning to go? Where did we finally decide?
Also, have you told CSU about your plans? Maybe you can make some kind of e-flyer and send it and they can print it and post it. I thought about doing that at the local vets around here. Would that be ok with you? I would print the website info and hopefully somebody who needs you but doesn't know about you would see it.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Hi Pam and Gus,
Welcome to Tripawds. Your future posts will not require moderation.
I hope you can make the Colorado meet up- Tripawd parties are the best!
You might consider starting a new topic in the Share your Story Forum- tell us more about Gus (and you, but mostly Gus )

It may be farther north than you want to go, but the Great Bark Dog Park in Lafayette is a great spot. Here is a link to it: http://www.city.....navid=1365
They have a separate fenced in area, that's inside the larger dog park, where smaller, older, or less-abled dogs can hang out.
Thanks Allison, we'll look into that. Your future forum posts will not require moderation.

Admin and Jerry: I can do a drive-by of this today if you want. It's probably 15 minutes from me. Let me know...
