Argh … just saw a "save the date" magnet on the fridge; we have a wedding the weekend of June 5th. Please, don't schedule the Pawty around us … if it works for everyone else that weekend, by all means hold it then.
Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.
Gerry - aren't you going to invite Luna to the pawty?! Might be a nice time for her to meet a prospective pawrent.
Hopalong Harley - where do you go to hop if not to the dog parks? I guess Gerry's mum and I used to have this conversation when Yoda and Tazzie were around. Eventually we figured out that our tripawds ran crazily around town more than most.

We actually only live in Madison part-time.
Harley isn't a real playful dog … he has a couple of dogs he likes to "play" with, but Harley's idea of "playing" is running up to the dog, bouncing around for 30 seconds max, and then running off to pee on something else. He seems to be much happier running around the house with his squeaky rubber chickens, or running around outside peeing on trees/bushes, than playing with other dogs … so I never felt he was missing much by not going to the dog park, plus he doesn't hear (listen) as well, anymore.

At the risk of hijacking this topic, I just had to share Jerry's similar rubber chicken fetish:

So much happines from a rubber chicken!
And of course I'll try to get an invite to Luna through the shelter, Tazzie!
As for Harley, if you're not sure he'd like the park with all the strange dogs, we can get together in/near the neighborhood or something and if they like each other we could have playdates in each others' yards, or whatever works. Gerry's roommate isn't always comfortable with bigger dogs (especially the ones that want to mount him), but we can schedule times when he'll be out with his mom. And if you're wanting to try out the parks, but want to ease Harley into it - maybe an early morning when there aren't a lot of dogs there? I'm game. Gerry is flexible. And Gerry only has two regulars - his roommate and his cousin (who lives all the way in Milwaukee) - so he could use another a third. (Three is the perfect number after all).

We are so far off topic, hijack away ... I loved seeing Jerry with his chicken!!!! Made my day!

Oh and I forgot to say, so far, Sunday May 30th seems like the better date (going by the two people, including you, who had feedback on that). I'll break the news to my brother when I see him tomorrow. Not really - he's not going to care when we get together to celebrate. Plus, I'll invite him and his quadpawd to make up for it

Oh whoops, scratch that. I did get one vote against May 30th due to a graduation. So two against June 5th an one against May 30th thus far. June 6th is an option too, though with a weddign to go to the day before, that still may not be good for Gwen and Harley.
Who else was interested who hasn't voted? Stas and family - any preferences? Anyone else I'm forgetting? Oh, Nova's mom was interested. She might not be watching this thread though, so I should PM her.
There's still time - get your votes in

That's it, the next rubber chicken I find is coming home with us for Gerry!
Hey everybody, I'm also considering a tripawd pawty the last weekend in June, or the first two of July. So I'm taking input on which of those three would be best for people too.
And still open to input on whether May 30th or June 5th is a better date, but I will decide on that one soon and might have to flip a coin for the final vote at this point.

Alright folks, Gerry (and Harley, should we say?) is hosting his first Tripawd Pawty on May 30th (with a rain date of June 5th) in Madison at the Badger Prarie Park (technically in Verona). Give me input though on the best start/end times for attendees - especially those of you travelling from outside the Madison area. I know it's more than a month away, but I'm going to make up fliers and advertise to find some of those other Madison tripawds that we know are out there. And I know myself, I could use a good month of prep time to make a poster I'm satisfied with and get it distributed far and wide.
And I'm already contemplating another one in mid to late summer as well. Thanks for the bad date input Stas' fam! I'll take bad and/or good date info from any/all who are interested in coming and do what I can with it.

Alrighty folks, how's 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 30th then? Does that work for everyone who can make it that day?
And if you can make it June 5th (our rain date) does 10:15 a.m. not work for anyone?
