My baby Jake was just diagnosed with osteosarcoma of his front right leg, and is scheduled for amputation this Thursday. I was wondering if there were any other owners with with similar situations in this area. I actually live in Wesley Chapel, which is just a few miles north of Tampa...
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Hi--My name is Tyler, I live in North Tampa and posted about my dog Wiley tonight. My friends John and Greg are friends of yours, they told me about Jake and about Tripawds. Jake is a beautiful dog, I always wanted a golden retriever, I've heard they are one of the most intelligent breeds. Sorry to hear that he had a bit of a setback recently. Dogs are pretty resilient, but how do you NOT worry about them when they are your "kids"?
