My Toy Poodle and I are new to Tripawds.  She was hit by a Truck on Friday and had her left rear leg amputated.

Hi again - I commented on your other post. As far as I know, I'm the only current tripawds member in S.D. - although, as I mentioned, we lost our Tripawd in January.

We just met up with some members (Maximutt & Maxidad) from Orange County this past Monday at Fiesta Island, although they also no longer have their tripawd. (Our pup and theirs both had osteosarcoma.) 🙁

We don't really have a regular meet-up (like they do in Nor Cal where there's a bigger gang of Tripawds folks). In fact, this was only our second time getting together. Maybe once Baby is healed up we could meet at Fiesta Island.

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
