I know we have many other members in the area so hopefully they will see this. It would be great to have a pawty in NC! I'll put this out on Twitter too.

Sorry, I have just seen this. I'm in NC. I work in Cary but live in JoCo. Once a month, we go to the Panera in Apex for brunch with other greyhounds. Sometimes more often.
Nixon has been a tripawd for 2 years and he's going to be 12 soon and has to limit the time he spends on his feet to about 20 to 30 minutes.
I'm surprised we don't have more people from NC as I know NC State does a lot of amputations.
Off subjetct a bit.....INGRID! It is sooooo good to hear from you and NIXON!!! Thinking about you, Nixon and Cookie so much. To know Nixon is rocking his senior years is just great news!! How 'bout an update on our greyhounds when y ou can!
LOGAN! Welcome! Good for you for trying to get a pawty together! I love in Virginia but I adopted a tripawd rescus from Ruff Love Rescue in N.C. I guess our East Coast Tripawd Pawty in Fredericksburg Va. is a little too far? It's Memory Day week end.
Logan's avatar picture is adorable!
Hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I too was wondering how Nixon was doing. How far is Chapel Hill from Calabash. My Tripawd might possibly be vacationing there late Summer. Lori, Ty & the Gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Would love to see this happen! We will start to get the word out via social media so keep sharing your pawty ideas here and we'll keep trying to gather up NC Tripawd packs!

I'm trying to think of places that we could rent. The first place that comes to mind is Furry Feet in Cary, NC.
http://www.furr.....rental.htm
Then there is the Durham Dog Park that has a special events area. Not sure how to go about renting that but i do believe they allow it.
For something overnight, we can head to the mountains and go to 4 Paws Kingdom. The only problem there is that they don't allow pit bulls. Not sure what other breeds they say no to.
Chapel Thrilllll ... I'm in Durham but the dog park that I know of, I don't love. I'll ask my friends who are from the are if they know of any good spots.
I know summer is over, but you should think about maybe doing "Bark in the Park" at the Durham Bulls stadium. They have it every season.
My girl is only a couple weeks out from surgery, so not ready for play dates just yet (she thinks she is, but I disagree). She's turning 12 this month but is very much still full of pup! She has osteosarcoma, so I don't know how long we have but once she's healed, we can play!
Momma to the world's most beautiful American Bulldog, Izzy!! Lost her front leg to OSA 9/18/15. Diagnosed w MCT in June 2016. Celebrated her 1 year ampuversary with knee surgery on 9/18/16! MCT recurrence in Dec 2016. Happy & hungry til nearly 14, earning her wings on 7/31/17.
