Wrigley is spending the night at the emergency vet ( the same hospital we will go on Tues for her oncology appt).

She
was having a great day, when I looked down at her and she was laying in
a pool of blood. At the bottom of her incision was a fountain spooing
out.

I rushed her to the emergency vet and the bleeding had
stopped by the time we got there. They ran clotting tests and
everything was normal. Her red bc was down, but they said that was
common after a major surgery such as hers. They put a compression wrap
on her and wanted to keep her overnight to monitor and make sure the
bleeding does not comeback and then they want to also recheck the rbc
to make sure it is not going down more.

They felt she probably is
just over doing it and a night with them would be more restful. It was
so hard leaving her, but I would have worried even more if she was
home. I hope to go get her in the morning, and then will probably have
her reevaluated by her surgeon (at another hospital).

She is such a brave and stoic dog- holding up better than I am that's for sure.

I'll let you all know what happens in the morning.

Wow, that must have been so scary! Bless you for taking such good care of Wrigley, and thanks for taking the time to post this update. We hope all turns out OK and loof forward to hearing more about what the vets have to say.

Just curious, did Wrigley get stitches or staples?

Such a brave mommy!!! Oh my gosh - I bet you were freaking out - for lack of a better phrase at the moment. I saw your newer post that she is doing better...but I had to come back and look at what happened.
