OMG, this dog is going to give me a nervous breakdown before this is over. My husband and I had decided to bring him in today to be put to sleep. He was a miserable mess Monday and the weeks leading up to the seizure Sunday night. So i quit giving him all his drugs. Yesterday he perked up some and then today he really perked up another notch. we played "chase" in the yard (he was running full speed) and he was so naughty tonight begging at the dinner table. I saved him some steak and corn. Here is a video of his super naughtiness tonight
feature=channel&list=UL Sorry for the terrible footage from my phone but you get the idea.
I know this doesn't mean he is better by any means..he is rail thin and will only eat people food and sometimes not even that. I've been giving him Ground beef and peanut butter sandwiches. He is also a little unstable on his feet which we think is a tumor near the brain (also what's causing the seizures). His nose has been very plugged and snotty but that seems to be under control today...go figure.
I once again just don't know what to think. One day at a time I guess. If he has another seizure then i think that will be our "sign". He could potentially start having seizures and they won't stop...this thought terrifies me and will maybe push us to let him go sooner than we want to.
That's where we are at today...tomorrow is a whole new day. we will see what it brings.
Levi was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 7-7-11
Ampuversary 10-14-11
Lung Mets Discovered 1-4-12. Chemo seemed to not be working so we switched to Artemisinin and other supplements. In May, Levi developed a sinus infection and started having seizures. The cancer had moved to his brain. We let him go 6-26-12.
one day at a time.....love that he is feeling good today. sending our best ET juju to you guys!!
charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
It is a roller coaster! I'm glad he is feeling better today. That's a great video. It is so hard to know when the right time is so as Charon says, "one day at a time". Sending you lots of pawsitive thoughts.
Karen and Spirit Magnum
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
Oh my gosh! What a cute boy!! Those ears so expressive. He seems to be quite happy - keep up that spirit Levi. We are all behind you.
Hugs and good thoughts

Oh, hooray for seeing Levi so spunky! Hope he has a lot more "super naughtiness" in him!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Hooray for super naughty Levi!! I hope he has many, many more good days like this.
All our Best
Suzie and Rizzo
Jack Russell born in 2001. Mast cell cancer found Dec 2009 and right rear amputation. Five rounds of chemo done before all treatment stopped. Living life to the fullest!! Read my story at http://rizzo.tripawds.com
Here's to more good days. I'm thinking of you and Levi. He's a warrior, that's for sure.
K, an 8 year old chocolate lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the radius and ulna on 12/23/11. She had stereotactic radiation to kill the bone tumors, and 3 rounds of carboplatin. On 3/16/12, lung mets were found. We tried several different kinds of chemotherapy to slow the lung mets but none worked. Finally, mets appeared at other sites, including her spine. She earned her angel wings on July 15, 2012. K changed my life, and I'll never forget her. Our/my journey is chronicled at romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com.
We are so glad you had a good day with Levi! Great video
Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

I am so, so glad to hear that you at least have a little more time to spend with Levi. Seeing those videos makes my heart happy.
Jac and Angel Spencer. Spencer was 5.25 years old. He fought a grade 3 fibrosarcoma, started on his shoulder. Left front leg amputated in August 2011. 15 weeks of chemo finished 12/22/11 (mytox and adria). Lung mets found on x-rays 12/28/11. Started carboplatin 1/6/12. Went to Heaven on 2/27/12. I miss him like crazy every day. See his blog here: http://spencer.tripawds.com/
After reading your posts earlier in the week, I was expecting the worst. That video was brilliant; he looked so happy, so full of life-- definitely a good day. I hope you have more good days-- I love his diet by the way 🙂 Keep those PB sandwiches coming 🙂
All you can do is take it one day at at time and Levi guide you. Yesterday was not his time.
((Hugs))
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Yep, one day at a time, and yesterday definitely was not his time.
I hope Levi continues to guide you and direct you, because you are listening to him! Hey, I heard you! He said "no way" when you said "sit." He said "gimme my sandwich, doggone it" and you did. As long as Levi's in charge, the world is good!

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Oh gosh! Adorable video! Wow. We are rooting for Levi!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Yes - one day at a time is the best way! Yay for a great day for Levi! Holly is sending some big Wheaten kisses... and Zuzu is sending a few sloppy doodle kisses.
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!
