Hi, Everyone!
Just wanted to keep in contact and update on Happy. He seems to be doing well since we have been home from radiation treatments-he has a follow up appointment on Monday but I believe it will be uneventful. I've had a couple of red flags, but probably all is normal.
I haven't been on the forum lately because there have been SOO many things going on, and I have been sick for 6 weeks. I have managed to take Happy out a few times a week to let him run at the park, and he is all about running over to meet new friends and immediately turning into "Humpy-Dog"..I guess he does not want to appear weak or the least bit not in control..lol..everyone loves him, and we have come across several tripawds, even in our neighborhood! He has put on some weight, even with me cutting back his food. He loves his harness!
Hooray for a good update! He looks great and handsome as ever!
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
As usual he looks great! Glad to hear all is well with him BUT for you ---I'm sorry to hear you have been sick! I hope it's nothing serious!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

Beth and Spirit Smilin' Sammy
Smilin' Sammy, March 16, 2004 – Dec. 5, 2011
Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
Happy, your smile just puts a big ol' smile on everypawdy's face here! You look mahvelous, you city dawg you.
Hey ma, hope you're feeling better. Six weeks is a long time! Get well soon OK?

Gosh, Happy, I think I am in love with you-- you have the most wonderful smile ever. One look at you and I'm smiling like an idiot. Keep up the good work and hope mom is finally feeling better.
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Thanks so much, everyone! I am feeling a lot better and we even went to the park twice today! I felt bad because he just never wants to leave. Now that he's spoiled, he throws a little tantrum by laying down (completely) and will not move one inch toward the car, even if we are far away and I am not even trying to go yet! I wait until he is worn out and should WANT to go, but still, he NEVER wants to go and it is an act of congress to get him to the car, even with the treats he loves. Maybe I could move to the park..pop a tent.. I did find out today that he is perfectly capable of putting any dog in it's place if they mess with him.
