Whee-doggie, 10 months and livin' large, way to go Fortis. Seems a shame since we both live in Austin that we don't get to see each other. Maybe when Wyatt comes down we will. We celebrate with frozen yogurt and sorbet[my person's mom can't have dairy] over in Westlake near the Jason's deli. It's good, no sugar and no fat so I get a good swirl and love it! Will have a treat for you tonight.

Brett,
I'm reading your post with tears in my eyes....so so wonderful that you're celebrating Fortis' 10 Month Ampuversary!! Whoo hooo!!! Not to mention that it's already been 4 months since the lung mets diagnosis and Fortis is still going strong!! I am so happy that you still have that big love hanging around. I truly hope it's forever. Please give him a big kiss and hug from his golden friends and tell him that we love him!! We will definitely be celebrating in Fortis' honor and look forward to celebrating many many more ampuversaries with Fortis too for sure. I'm smiling from ear to ear hearing this great news and I know Mackenzie and Kobe are too.
xoxo
Kami, Mackenzie and Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Yay Fortis!!! 10 months is pawsome!!! You are the MAN! We are so proud of you, we will be celebrating here in Arizona in your honor tonight and that is our honor.
Jo Ann & Tasha
Tasha 8 years old, First cancer diagnosis 6/26/09, Last cancer diagnosis 9/26/09, Amputation 10/01/09, Loving our girl moment by moment.
Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….

I know the place well Zip. My folks would love to meet you sometime. Your Mom is welcome to come down to the river and watch me swim anytime. I love to show off!!! I'm there all the time. I swim at town lake underneath the mopac bridge on the North side of the river. The only problem I can think of is that I'm not always that friendly to other pups. Dad says I have an attitude sometimes. I'm always friendly to humans though. He wouldn't want me to scare you Zip. Tell your mom to pm my Dad sometime and they can plan a time to meet if she would like to. Dad loves frozen yogurt especially the sugar free kind
I just wanted to take a minute and thank you all for your kind post. Each and every reply is truly special to me. I also wanted to add that Fortis is doing remarkably well right now. I just posted a health update some two weeks ago and most of what I had written has once again changed and all for the better Fortis was tearing up the river over this past weekend. He was so full of himself. I love seeing him so happy. He's doing great. Whoever was the first to compare this journey to a ride on a roller coaster was spot on! Christmas is right around the corner. Fortis' stocking, once again hanging above the fireplace….how cool is that. Thanks for letting me share…………..I just edited because I couldn't help myself. I just had to steal some bandwidth 🙂

Some of Fortis' Ampuversary treats. He loved the bacon ice cream!
Waiting to go swimming (he needed to burn off some of those extra party calories)
Aw Fortis! You can use my alotted bandwidth to post pictures of yourself anytime! I can always look at your sweet and lovable face!
I always knew we were so much alike because I'm not always nice to other dogs either! (actually I'm not nice to ANY dogs, people, cats, birds or bugs EVER!)
Well, no more talk of this "may not be here" for the holidays! You better plan on being my Valentine!

Riley says: Don't worry Gayle. You can have Fortis AND Cooper because Comet's already taken, so dudes calm yourselves. The judge wouldn't give me the annulment even when I explained about the surgery-that-cannot-be named. So we're still married. Bwahahahaha!
