After a few weeks of the rollercoaster ride that is a cancer diagnosis tomorrow may be Lupe's big day. I spoke with the surgeonand she is not convinced that all of Lupe's ups and downs is not a result of the tumor. So off to the vet we go tomorrow. They are going to do bloodnwork and probably pump her full of fluids and see how she is doing. We will make decisions from there. Trying to remain pawsitive, she still isn't interested in food but she is slowly walking around and is now pooping once a day. Learning to be excited for the small accomplishments. Fingers crossed that things go well and she is still a candidate for surgery. So glad to know there are others out there who understand what me and the other newbies are going through.
Thank you from the bottom of hearts,
Kori & Lupe
Diagnosed with possible synovial cell sarcoma of right front elbow 5/31/12. Amputation surgery performed 6/7/12. Final diagnosis of histiocytic cell sarcoma 6/11/12. Her soul and spirit were strong, her body was not...my little girl earned her wings 6/14/12. We will send extra super-dooper-(hooray-for-the-daily-pooper)-pawsitive thoughts your way that she can have the surgery tomorrow. Hopefully it is the pain of the tumor that is causing her appetite trouble.
Good luck!!!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
