Yea for progress!!
When I first brought Tani home I had to put the ear cleaning stuff on a cotton ball, sneak up on her and stuff it in her ear. I managed to get at least some of the cleaning solution in!!
Sorry the boxers didn't work. For future reference (although I hope you never need to know this) doggie diapers don't work on rear amps! I found this out during a particularly stressful time while Maggie's health was failing and she became incontinent. She had just been diagnosed with kidney failure so we were trying to avoid adding another med to the mix. It never occurred to me that the second leg is needed to keep the diaper in place . Anyway, after the diapers were a failure, and I had given Mag a half bath every morning, and I washed so much pug bedding that my dryer broke I finally went with the meds.
I hope Tipper keeps making progress!

Ha!! It's MY ear that needs 'washing'! Tipper has always jumped up on my recliner, tucked herself behind me and put her front paws on my shoulders and gave my left ear a THOROUGH cleaning! Totally inappropriate behavior for a 70 lb dog!
But...guess she was feeling a little TOO good. Came home from work yesterday and found she had somehow managed to rip out a bunch of staples and had a gaping hole (okay I'm exaggerating a little) about an inch long! Fortunately, I had a longer E-collar so I traded it out. So today she's at the vet getting debridement and re-staple.
Ouch! Well, it's a common thing for dogs to forget they're recovering (unlike silly humans who really love to milk it!). Just a bummer that she has to get re-stapled!
