What a doll face! I'm so happy she is doing well!
Poor mom! I hope you get to feeling better. I'm sure that killed you not going to see her but she'll be fine.
Get well the both of you! And let us know how it goes when you pick her up.
Best,
Comet's Mom
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Don't worry, mom, Etta will be up and around in no time. Those drugs have to leave the system, etc, etc. You get over that cold, and be strong when that beauty comes home.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Oh dear all this AND a cold too Get lots of rest while you can and soon you'll be able to pick up your beautiful girl and bring her home where she belongs. It sounds like she's making great progress. I agree, nothing beats a nice snooze in the sun. Hope you feel better soon.
Tai Dog and Laura
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
Oh what a sweet face - Etta looks a lot like my Mackenzie too. So glad to hear that Etta did well through surgery. As you've read, these next 2 weeks will be the hardest without question. We had a very difficult time during Mackenzie's 2 week recovery but then once she came off the pain meds, things turned around so dramatically and we saw our miracles happening (like climbing our stairs all by herself without letting us know). Do take care of yourself too.....I ran myself ragged during Mackenzie's recovery time and ended up with strep throat. You want to be by their side 24/7 and watch their every move..but just know that they will be ok and you will see Etta getting better every day. Keeping our paws crossed that Etta has a smooth and speedy recovery!
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
