I posted this video in my blog but I'm so proud I wanted to share in the forums as well. This is four days post surgery.
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. That is awesome! Looks like she is adjusting quickly to her new life. Can't wait to see the video at one month.

Over the years with Maggie I built 3 sets of stairs and two ramps. She never used any of them!
Jill looks great. I actually wrote a post in your blog earlier but when I tried to post it my browser locked me out (stupid security on work computer!). I don't remember anything I wrote- but I'm sure it was really insightful .
Mag was also a rear amp- right after surgery she would fall on her butt and get so discouraged. I really had to coax her to try again. Eventually she got around fine and the occasional fall never slowed her down. In fact, she developed a move where she would fall into a sit to change directions on slippery surfaces.
Retractable claws must be a great advantage for a tripawd!

Wow! That's pretty cool. I'm not sure if she has the same risk of breaking stitches the way dogs do when they jump like that, so keep a close eye on her incision. I realize asking a cat not to climb is pretty impossible!
Karen's right, I never realized that having claws give cats such an advantage when they're Tripawds.
Glad to see she's doing so well. Keep posting videos if you'd like, we started a new kitty Tripawd playlist on our YouTube channel, so Jill will definitely be there.
