A fast description of the case:

Currently staying at an ashram in India, we found a little puppy with crushed leg, so we eent to the Vet on Monday to take of his leg, few days later, the bone came up again, so second surgery yesterday and now the stitches Start to seperate again,

Any advice what to do? Can this heal?

Staying in rural South India, not many possibilities, please help.

See picture.

Thank you

Hi Philip, thanks for joining, your future posts won't need approval so post away.

You are wonderful for trying to help this puppy. I'm curious, did the vet remove his entire leg bone or just partially? If just partially, it's very difficult for the wound to heal (although it can be done, we've seen it happen).

My first thought is, is the puppy confined to a small space to recuperate? Oftentimes too much activity causes the sitches to separate. I know it's hard with a puppy but it's the best way to speed up healing.

Also, is the puppy wearing a cone so he doesn't bother the stitches?

Here's a post about adding images to these forums. Let us know if you'd like help OK?
