Today we started the trial drug Trametinib. Wish her luck and hopefully no side effects and ideally a shrinking tumor in the near future. I will keep updates on her progress. Figure i would start a new thread, since her last one was getting a little long and of course a new picture from last Friday.
That picture is absolutely stunning! And make no mistake about it.....she is smiling!!!Her eyes are mao expressice.....just am beautiful picture.
All paws crossed for smooth sailing for sweet Coco. And feel free to just update with pictures if you dont have any update on the Trametinib for awhile. We looooove seeingnher pictures!

So we had our vet visit today and as i was sitting the lobby after the Dr called and told me all the numbers from last time which I misheard or she mispoke her liver values at her last visit was 689 double from her previous visit which At the time I was understanding it was still in the high 300's and her tumor went from 4.5 to 4.8 which she said is not really an accurate measurement to begin with, so I say that is really negligible in my eyes. Then it really dawned on me that the last 3 weeks Coco has been doing great and her energy levels have been really good and she is living her life to the fullest. I kinda found a level of comfort I think knowing I had done the right thing and have done all I can for her to live her best life. She really doesnt know or care about any numbers. Shes happy. Will update with results when we get them back.

Just a quick follow up. Her blood tests come back today and I feel that it is great news. Her liver values dropped from 689 to 218 and she can come off the Demanarin and she said her platlets where a little clumped up, but said its normal in dogs and her blood counts were good and her stool was normal. Only negative was the slight growth in the tumor. I call this a win. Of course there is no way to tell where or how or when the cancer has spread. At this point it makes no difference. She's happy. We are continuing on with the Trametinib for another month and see how its goes. Thanks for all your support.
Definitely a WIN!!! The bloodwork sounds great and, most of all, Coco is happy!!!!
Pretty sure this calls for another pocture of Coco!!! Yep, more pictures!
