What a difference!
Naan had her staples removed yesterday and almost instantly she was happier. I even was able to get her to chase me around the yard for a little bit. Still no interest in the tennis ball ( it is her fav obsession), but I am pawsitive that will change with more time. I am looking into swimming facilities/rehab for her this weekend.
For all the new amps out there, look forward to that 2 week mark, what a difference:::)
Thanks to everyone again for all your pawsitivity and support. I couldn't have made it through these past two weeks without this site.
BIG shout out to Spirit Jerry and all the tripawds in the tripawd community!!
Take Care,
Lisa & Naan
If you don't own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.

Congratulations on this milestone! Let the real healing begin.
Work on unstable surface work, core strengthening and balance before allowing Naan to engage in too much "explosive" exercise – what Dr Waldman calls sprinting around and the like. You'll find lots of tips on the Fitness page of the Tripawds Gear blog .

woot woot!!! big day for you! Congats on the recovery.
Mom, don't worry too much about her not chasing the ball yet. She will, I'm sure of it. 🙂
If she's like me, then she wants to do it, when SHE wants to do it! (I'm a little hard headed) At least that's what Mom say's....

Maddie Mae,
That's exactly how I am, hardheaded and too smart. I fact a may have a little cattle dog in me myself.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement! Spirit Jerry, I promise to be carefull with how much I do right now. My mom is all about taking me for rehab to strengthen my muscles first, and boy do they need it. I have been laying around on my many comfy dog beds for too long
We are lucky enough to have a canine rehab facility about 2 minutes from our house. Mom is going there today to make our first appointment!! I am excited I love to swim and I love a good challenge.
The other great news is my mom is going to pick up one of my grandma's today from NY. She is coming mainly to visit me!! Then another grandma Sunday and yes my other grandma next Saturday!!!!! I am very lucky to have three grandma's who love me even with my smarty pants attitude
I hope my mom has some time to upload a blog or some pictures soon so you can really see what's going on. I will say that I am about done with these tee shirts though. Even though they are super stylish, I HATE WEARING CLOTHES!!!!!
Ok I gotta go get ready for grandma #1.
Paws Up and Peace Out Fellow Tri's

Thank you

When I took Rileys stitches out and she was soooooo happy....so I am going to guess the stitches / staples must really pull at their skin...
Just wait a 4 weeks - bath time - and that will be even more wonderful than having the staples removed...
Didn't you know that if you chew on your clothes when noone is watching then you won't have to wear them any more........
