he had a great day! Full of energy and plenty of appetite. I think the biopsy results will be back on Monday (they ran another one to make sure this isn't cancer) and then we have to wait for the culture. ugh. I'm lysoling both houses like crazy! I talked to the pediatrician and they said to just wash hands constantly, lysol the house, use bleach where we can, keep the kids away from his incision... His incision looks good. I just wish that culture could come back faster so that we would know if he still has it!!
Jac and Angel Spencer. Spencer was 5.25 years old. He fought a grade 3 fibrosarcoma, started on his shoulder. Left front leg amputated in August 2011. 15 weeks of chemo finished 12/22/11 (mytox and adria). Lung mets found on x-rays 12/28/11. Started carboplatin 1/6/12. Went to Heaven on 2/27/12. I miss him like crazy every day. See his blog here: http://spencer.tripawds.com/

She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Spencer is an amazing fighter, that much is obvious. I want to let you know that as soon as I am through typing he will be included in my prayers and you and your family too. I know this seems like a ton of bricks heaped on top of the last ton, but 1 step at a time, you can do this too.
Hang in there. We are rooting for you!

Roman had a Spider bite that would not resolve, it was about 2" wide, bloody and oozing, right in the middle of his back. He suffered through about a month or more of tests, meds and vet visits, they could not diagnose it, finally a family member told me spiders can transmit fungus when they bite and to use spray fungal medicine like Desenex. It WORKED almost immediately, began to heal the same day. He had another bite about 2 years later it was evolving into the same type of lesion so I sprayed it and it went away in a couple days, never got any worse.
I know it might not be helpful in your situation, but it could be helpful to somebody.:)
Good information, thank you!

Hi All,
I received an email from Jill Moss at the Bella Moss foundation about a german shepherd mix that had a stage 3 tumor removed. The incision did not heal and they have since discovered it is MRSA . The Doctor does not want to proceed with chemo because it may slow the MRSA healing. They are looking for patients with experience dealing with MRSA at the time of Chemo.
I sent an email directing them to Spencer's post and blog.
I am hoping that commenting here will help them see this post and his blog.
Spencer's mom, if you read this...Would you be willing to pm me your email address so they could contact you?
Thanks
Bud's mama
I can send her your message via email. Thanks for all you do to help with the MRSA awfulness. Poor doggie!
