That title was supposed to be FEELING better w/Pixie. Tired fingers here, tired brain.
We had a good night! She panted a bit but once she found her position in the crate, she slept away the night – well, except when I shined the flashlight in her eyes. She barked to get up at her normal time, went outside, walked a bit but sat, trying to get her bearings, I think. I know she had to pee but she could not do it yet. Brought her in and she drank and ate her entire breakfast and I gave her the Metacam and Clavimox and settled her in her ex-pen, now she is staring at me pleasding to get her OUT.
I think we are off to a good start, but I sure thought she would be hurting this morning. We took her back out and she peed after breakfast and hopped about 15 feet to us!
Sounds like Pixie is off to a good start, yay keep it up.

Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Thanks everyone. This dog is amazing. She is having snacks, lots of water, wants to be with the others (I do not allow unless I am holding her, they all want to sniff her to death!) and my son took her outside and she hopped across the yard to him, then peed. It kind of did something to me, seeing my one legged son who is doing well and my three legged girl who is also doing so well. Kind of made me choke up. My son was all smiles, I walked over to her and he had picked her up and was telling her, "We are a real pair, Pixie, and I love you and your three legs". I told him to put her back down and walk back to the house and as he went through the sliding glass door, she was right there and hopped up two steps and sat by him with her tail twitching away.
It is a GOOD day here in Fresno, Califonria, and trust me, that is something you usually will NEVER hear!
A good day indeed! Even in Fresno.
