hello there! My little olive Rue just had her back right leg removed 3 days ago. She is doing great except For one thing that seems odd. The skin next to the staples has gotten saggy. There is no discharge or smell and she does not have a fever overall she is in pretty good spirits. I am not sure how to most a picture on here but would love to share so you all can better understand.
Thank you!
Hi there Rue and family! Welcome, your future posts won't need approval so post away. Here are some instructions for adding images to the Forums, let us know if you'd like assistance.
I'm so glad Rue is doing so well. When you say "Olive" are you referring to her breed type? Forgive me, I'm clueless about it!
Many dogs do have saggy skin around the incision site and usually the fur just covers it up and it gets forgotten about. I would mention it to your vet but it sounds like it's nothing to worry about until then, as long as there is no discharge that's off-color or stinky.
Thanks again for joining!
