The big day is tomorrow. It's been over four months since being diagnosed with osteosarcoma, and losing his leg. It all happened in one day, and I never really got a chance to process anything before the leg was gone, and he was home.
Riot has been very happy lately, and it's been almost a week without having to use his appetite stimulant. He hasn't had a big appetite, but he's eating enough to maintain the weight his vets and PT want him at. He's clearly gotten stronger in the last six weeks, after a bit of a standstill. The new Flagline harness has been a good choice, and he now wears it all day until bed time.
Of course, I'm nervous about the results. He hasn't shown any signs that I was warned to look for, but he does everything his own way. I have found some new lumps and what are hopefully skin tags that they'll check out. I don't really want to completely take him off treatment, so I'll have a talk with his oncologist about next steps. Fingers crossed the scans are clear!
Sending lots of extra pawsitivty from Riot's Fan Club!!! Riot is doing so well and that really is all that matters😁
Now, in order to get even more pawsitivty energy sent your way (if that's even possivle), is to post another picture of Mr. Handsome! We can never have enough "handsome overload" from cute Riot😎
❤❤❤

My sweet soulmate Roane was diagnosed with osteo in June of 2019. Had a rear leg amp on July 2nd & crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her sister Gypsy on the first day of Autumn Sept 23 2019.
Honest to goodness, I don't know how he does it, but Riot sure knows how to work the camera so that it captures his personality AND his intelligence! Yes, you can just see that brilliant brain of his thinking about the pose he wants to perfect.
Thanks for our cuteness fix!😀
