Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.

I am in the same boat as you. My girl was still using her foot prior to operation. We contemplated whether or not to wait, but we did not want to put her in more pain, so we went ahead with the amputation. The vet told us that she might have a little more recovery time because she was still using that leg some, and most of the time when they see them, they have stopped using it completely. But, I will say Carly was up and hopping around the same day. She seems to be adjusting to the Tripawd life much quicker than I imagined. Don't worry...they are smart!
