Hi all so cricket is day one post opp front leg amp & doing great. My question is potty breaks.
When I go with her outside she hasn't quite learned how to squat yet so she kinda stumbles down and kinda lays to pee, not fully flat to the ground but lays her head down. Is there anything i can do to help her ? Is this normal in the begining till she gets her sea legs back?
I would guess that it's the meds not her 'sea legs' making it hard for her to pee. Since she lost a front leg the squat shouldn't be too hard for her to get.
How is she getting around otherwise? Pretty wobbly still?
Will she pee with you holding a sling on her? You can make your own out of a cloth shopping bag, instructions here.

It is still very early in the recovery process, if necessary you can use a sling to help as Karen suggested. The best thing you can do for now is to ensure Cricket doesn't overdo it. Keep her confined and moderate her activity to preserve her strength. Before long she will likely surprise you!

Yay! I'm glad it worked for Cricket. I bet after a couple days (maybe less) she won't need any help.
But if she does then you have something that works.

Hey there 🌺
It may take a little while for cricket to be confident on his 3 legs but that will come!
It was really hard for my baby girl during the first week after surgery but she grew more confident with my help and eventually going potty was no big deal.
Cricket will be ok, just give him a little time to adjust.
Big hug and cuddles to your cutie pie 😘😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹
